Seasonal Depression

Duracal cement, salt, snail shell. 6x12x1 ft. installed. 2016

Installed at the Coulter Art Gallery at Stanford University for the 1st year MFA show. 5 casts were created from a local former salt pond over the period of 7 days, just before the winter rains flooded the ponds. The unstable pathway allows views to take a mental stroll along a constantly-shifting, anthropocene shoreline. A snail embedded in one of the casts offers a slow and low perspective of the landscape.
